The annual Santee Cooper Country Club Invitational at Lake Marion is this weekend which is one hours from Charleston and as always the heat will be the winner in this event.  They even have a division for us more experienced golfers.  I am speaking for those of us who are over 55 and I passed that number about fourteen years ago.  Why do I continue to do this, love of the game, and I love to show off my FJs.  A little narcissistic, no more pride and love of the brand.  Anyhow we will be playing two days and maybe if I hang in there I just might place this year.  Did want to present my outfits for Saturday and Sunday.  Black/purple for Saturday and Khaki/Orange for the final day.   Hoping for the best.  Cheers, Chuck.....

So far the weather is good and so is the food.  The game, well that is another story.  Had a couple of really bad holes today and it put me in the last flight in the Sr Men's Regular Division.  A place I have never been before.  We are the second group out in the morning and guess it will be a slow day.  The rewards for playing badly.  :-)

Sunday's round did show some improvement.  My score was ten strokes better but not good enough to catch the field.  Still finished in eighth place in the last flight.  One bright spot, I shot 39 on the back nine on the final day and boogied hole 18.  The greens were *** and the pins were in some awkward positions.  If  you were not below the hole, you could easily four put a hole.  Heard one guy six putted one hole.  They were that fast.  Did not have a four putt. The only person I can blame for being in the last flight is yours truly.   There is always another one around the corner.  Just have to, as my instructor would tell me, hit the ball, and stop worrying.......cheers, chuck

Wendy:  At the Vokey store in the US and they have two styles.  The fit up to a 1.75" snap on belt.    They also sell the straps separately.  www.vokey.com/vokeystore/do/products

Not a tournament, but a fellow member of our FJ community from Washington, DC is visiting Kiawah this week and we will be meeting at one of the local courses in my town in the morning at 751 am for a round and some fellowship.  The only contact that we have had is through the community forum.  Nice to put a face with a name finally.  Thought I would post my outfit for the day.  Supposed to be a hot and humid day, so light colors and light weight fabrics are the order of the day.  The shorts are actually khaki and white.  I always enjoy meeting members of the community.  Cheers, Chuck.....

ChuckZ and Professor3, FJ Community, showing off their FJs, sharing stories.  Good golf and making new friends.
